Boom Tower House - an historic harbour entrance residence

At the entrance to Portsmouth harbour in the historic district of 'Sally Port' in Old Portsmouth, Hampshire,  the Boom Tower overlooks the passage of craft in and out of the harbour entrance.
The circular roof-light was designed in the form of a compass, with sea creatures and a sailing ship below a starry sky.
