Gulf War Hero Memorial Window

Royal Engineers badge

This window was commissioned as a tribute to the memory of David Denbury who was killed in action in the Gulf War in 1991. He was a Corporal in the Special Air Service Regiment and was awarded the Military Medal, and previous to this he was awarded the Queens Gallantry Medal.

The memorial window was installed in 1993 in the Parish Church of LLanfrechfa - the Church of All Saints - and is in Pontir Nr Newport,  Gwent, Wales, UK. 

Gulf War memorial window to David Denbury

The right-hand window depicts St Michael sleying the dragon, above is a roundel of the SAS Wings emblem.

The left-hand window depicts the berets of the Royal Engineers and the SAS; above are the Special Air Services Regiment Wings. Daffodils rise up and merge with the birds of peace. Above is a roundel of the badge of the Royal Engineers.
